The Kehinnin may be imprisoned but their helpers are not. Many guard the places of power where one day their masters hope to break out into Faelon, and others conduct seemingly endless rituals of power to make that wish a reality. For the Shroud, one of their frontline soldier creations was the Ashen Lightbane. Cloaked in the darkest fabrics and wearing the most ancient of armors, the twisted and horrifying Ashen Lightbane oozes the darkness of the Void all around it. Those who have encountered these beings and lived tell of a drowning darkness that no light can penetrate - a void that swallows not just light but joy and hope until despair and death are your only friends and thoughts. Such is the only warning one receives before the Ashen Lightbane reaps you with his dreaded Ashen Spear.
